Qassim Cement Company (QCC) is a technology leader in Saudi Arabia. The cement manufacturer has successfully implemented the VAS® System from FRITZ & MACZIOL and now handles more than 500 HGVs a day using the proven VAS® Despatch Automation and Security. As the first cement works in Saudi Arabia, QCC facilitates rapid, secure and customer-friendly processing for HGV drivers with the self-service solution. This customer-oriented corporate philosophy is supported by the VAS® module Internet-DISPO that has already been used many times. Another project goal of optimising the “inbound and outbound logistics” was achieved with the VAS® module Lane Management used for the first time at QCC. As a “management system” the innovative solution enables logistics to be tailored to requirements – from HGV registration at parking spaces, through integration of all loading and unloading stations distributed throughout the site, traffic volume on site, and departure. For QCC, as for many companies in the MENA region, the added value, i.e. improvement of the customer-supplier relationship, is becoming more and more of a focus through implementation of the VAS® system. Therefore, in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences in Münster, Master’s in Logistics, FRITZ & MACZIOL offers its customers KPI studies (KPI = Key Performance Indicator). The core content of the study is an assessment of the change in fundamental KPIs before and after introduction of VAS®.
