Hardware and Software from One Place for the City of Waldshut-Tiengen

To keep the burden on staff low and to be able to convert more quickly to new modern software, the City of Waldshut-Tiengen, at the very south of the Black Forest, chose soft conversion to the new municipal accounting system. Therefore, the authority of almost 23,000 inhabitants first went live on 01/01/2008 with the single-entry HKR/HÜL system of the integrated INFOMAŽ newsystemŽ kommunal complete solution. The modules included are Budgeting, Product accounting, variable Cash Interfaces, law Enforcement, Taxation, Fees, Contributions and Charges, Cost-Performance Accounting Control Plus, Asset Management, Credit Management and Municipal Operations Purchasing/Storage. The switch to double-entry is planned for 2011. After presentations of different procedures and research with users on site, the decision makers were convinced: INFOMAŽ offers the best suited procedure with the best price-performance ratio. The final deciding factor in the decision was integration of all important previous processes, such as the law Enforcement, Credit Management and Municipal Operations modules. The city had already learnt that FRITZ & MACZIOL : INFOMAŽ know their stuff a short time ago. FRITZ & MACZIOL had installed a new hardware configuration in spring 2007 to provide a powerful IT platform for future requirements. The IT landscape now includes an IBM System x3800 Server with 2 Intel DC processors, 8 GB main memory and 10 x 146 GB hard drives and a Win 2003 Enterprise Server and an MS SQL 2005 Server. As a result, Waldshut-Tiengen is not only profiting from a tailored solution based on the latest technology, but also has a contacts in the software and hardware fields within the same company.
