Joint development of LAP

Schwenk Zement KG

Tested and passed with flying colours – after the test installation of the LAP System (LAP: laboratory automation and production data administration) from FRITZ & MACZIOL has been successfully completed at the Wittislinger central laboratory of the Ulm-based Schwenk Putztechnik GmbH & Co KG, further development and implementation of the software with its modular structures is now to be continued. The next phase foresees the self-monitoring and optimisation of the quality assurance. This will be followed by raw material and production control in the plants in order to guarantee the flow of data from the incoming goods inspection through to the actual application technology.
 
With LAP, the supplier of plaster and mortar systems has invested in a modular system for the administration and evaluation of its laboratory and production data which is characterised not only by its simple operating procedures and consistency. As the LAP basic module is also used in other products in the Industrial Applications business division of FRITZ & MACZIOL, the software also provides the user with a very high level of stability and reliability. Through the replacement of previous manual applications by LAP, Schwenk wants to optimise operational sequences within the laboratory area itself as well as achieving an improved comprehensive, long-term data management and security at all locations including the head office.

For this, the proven on-line replication concept developed by FRITZ & MACZIOL is being used. This is aimed to synchronously maintain the two independent LAP servers at the Ulm and Wittislingen sites and so guarantee the full functionality of the LAP system at all times. Connecting all Schwenk Putztechnik GmbH & Co KG locations to the system is already planned to take place after the test phase has been completed.
