The migration of solutions – requiring the intensive transfer of data between a company and its customers or suppliers – is often a difficult challenge as the existing structure can normally only be separated very slowly or with a disproportionate amount of time and expense.

However, communication via the internet is steadily growing. In so doing, the target is to process the daily exchange of data which arises from the customer´s own ERP system or third-party system, without having to change the ERP system itself or the existing infrastructure.

File Service is a Domino-based data base application for removing the proprietary solutions of the data exchange with data entries and outgoings are configured in any compilable customer document. File names with the inclusion of common wildcards control the amount of approved files which are sent automatically through cyclical agents or stored in directories when the e-mail arrives. Processing of entries and outgoings are configured separately and are activated and deactivated on a customer level.

As an option, parameterised programs for targeted further processing can be activated after file entry. Comprehensive logging is carried out for every single action taken which provides thorough documentation as well as backups on copies of documents already processed. The database-supported file distribution is rounded off through configurable subject headings during the sending of files as well as an automatically generated E-Mail reference to free adjustable users or user groups in cases of error.
