The new leave application is just a click of the mouse away after you open a database:



All the data can be filled in systematically with the new system e.g. substitute, superior, period of the leave granted from this day onwards...



And the best part is that: Timeline can tell you whether the selected substitute is actually present during the period in question.

Obviously the personnel department now maintains only one workflow for approving this application.

The number of days of leave granted is deducted from an account and the public holiday calendar in the Domino server is referred to while calculating the actual number of days of leave. Any state-specific differences can be set in the profile of the server list to be used for each employee so that even unusually special cases can be covered.

Notifications of sickness can be set by colleagues.

Automatic functions like setting the to dos of the substitute in his mail file as also automatic activation of those standing in for the sick colleague completes the picture of an electronic leave management system.
