As a team sport specialist, uhlsport GmbH is dedicated to the three leading types of team sports in Germany. In addition to the renowned uhlsport footballbrand, the company developed Kempa, its own handball brand. Additionally, uhlsport sells the American basketball brand Spalding. The range is completed by Gilbert, the rugby brand on the French market, the Airness team sport brand and the sporty fashion label Russell Athletics.

The company is currently having an infrastructure prepared by FRITZ & MACZIOL to map all courses of business under SAP. The F&M team came out on top for the company from Balingen because of their numerous references in this field and the close cooperation with SAP partner Steeb as the ideal co-player. In addition to the developed concept, which met the requirements perfectly with its conclusiveness and efficiency, with the preparation of an iSeries on a rental basis for customising and testing of the SAP modules in spring 2005, nothing more is standing in the way of kick-off for the project.

After the sizing phase of the production machine, in November the F&M team installed the i5 Model 550 with LTO Library for central data protection. Up until the start of 2006, uhlsport was in transition from customising during the test phase and has now gone live.
